India vs England First Test begins Today

India vs England first Test match starts today in Chennai at M.A Chidambaram stadium. The long awaited match which was very doubtful whether this happen or not due to the Bomb blast in Mumbai. Already this match was scheduled to be held in Mumbai and it was re-scheduled to be held in Chennai. Ticket rate are raised and many people are struggling to see the match as this stadium is favorite for Master Batsmen Sachin Tendulkar. Lets wait and see whether this match helps Dravid to come out of all the questions raised against him. Yuvraj has replaced Ganguly’s Position in the middle order. So Dhoni will be pleased to get the middle order stable other than finding the right person. Already England has lost 5 consecutive ODI and they will be really frustrated, so they will be eager to give a nice fight back to get the RBS Cup to their country.

India 200/4

India is in a comfortable position with a lead of 237 runs and 6 wickets in hand. Hopefully if India scores another 200 runs tomorrow before tea they can easily win the test match by giving Srilanka to chase a target of 400 + . This can happen only if India performs well tomorrow. If they miss this one then the series will be Srilankan’s. Thanks for Sehwag and Gambhir for a good start.

Wimbeldon Champion 2008 - Men

Rafael Nadal in an astonishing game becomes the winner of Wimbledon 2008 tennis championship. Nadal becomes the first tennis player since Bjorn Borg 28 years ago to hold the French Open and Wimbledon titles simultaneously. The first thing he did after winning the Wimbledon he jumped up in the tribunes and hugged her parents in a tearful and emotional moment.

This has become the longest Wimbledon final that was ever played.

Both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer played so well, so strongly and so spectacularly that both of them deserved to be the winner of the 2008 Wimbledon Tennis Championship. Therefore, it is very sad to see one of them losing. In the last set both of them made few dramatic comebacks that deserved big applauses.

SriLanka Lead series 1-0

In response to Sri Lanka’s 600-6 declared, India was bowled out for 223 and 138 to lose by an innings and 239 runs. It was the biggest innings margin against India since it lost by an innings and 285 runs against England in 1974 and its third worst ever.

The win was also Sri Lanka’s third biggest ever innings win, with the other two coming against minnow Zimbabwe.

“There is a very good feeling with everybody and there were a contributions from a lot of people,” Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene said after the match.

India began Saturday at 158-6 in its first innings, facing a difficult task merely to avoid the follow-on, and its famed batting line-up could find no answer to Sri Lanka’s spin pair, losing 14 wickets in just over two sessions.

“When you see that batting lineup you would expect them to give a fight. That’s (India collapse) was a surprising factor,” Jayawardene said.

Muralitharan (5-84 and 6-26) recorded the 21st 10-wicket haul of his career, and Sri Lanka appears to have unearthed a short-term spin partner and longer-term potential replacement in Mendis (4-72 and 4-60) who impressed on debut.

India vs Srilanka Day1

This has been a truncated day of cricket where rain and bad light took centrestage more than anything else. We lost 4 hours and 15 minutes of cricket thanks to the wet conditions. Finally, we got some play after Mahela decided to bat first on a dry surface. This has been a good session for the Indians after they picked up the vital wicket of Sangakkara. Warnapura and Mahela are looking good and they would love to get good scores under their belt right at the start of the series. We’ll find all that out when we come half an hour before the actual start time tomorrow to make up for the lost overs

25 years of Indian Victory

Well i read an article yesterday that it has been 25 years since we won a World Cup. And the players who were in that team reunited and celebrated that victory. I was really laughing by seeing that news as they are not ashammed to be the Managing directors of the current team and they cant even select a perfect 11 in our Indian Squad. I think this will continue again and the same people or their children will come and celebrate that our parents were the players of 1983 world Cup in the 50th anniversary. Everywhere politics with politrics
